About me

I am a Christian Poet and Author, with a passion for helping people become shaped in the image of Jesus Christ. I live out that passion through writing poetry, devotional books, and through my blog at christformed.net.

My hope is that my poetry, blog articles, and books will encourage and inspire you as a follower of Jesus. My articles and books focus on following Jesus and being formed into HIs image. Many of my poems speak about the wonder, mystery, and majesty of a God who loves us beyond anything we can comprehend. I love sharing about God's love through my writing.

I live in southern Colorado with my incredible wife, who is also my best friend. We have two wonderful sons, two loving daughters-in-law, and four grandchildren, a grand-son-in-law, and a grand-daughter-in-law.

Experience

I have been in vocational Christian ministry for over fifty years. During the first part of my ministry, I served as a youth pastor, an associate pastor focusing on Christian discipleship, and the senior pastor of two churches. For the last twenty years, I have been teaching at Gateway Seminary (formerly Golden Gate Baptist Seminary). Currently, I teach Spiritual Formation in the Doctor of Ministry program.

My formal education is a Master's in Religious Education and a Doctor of Educational Ministry degree.
